While Ascendant Studios might not have cast the magic spell on games with Immortals of Aveum, perhaps the studio’s next project will, as Ascendant has confirmed they are working on their next project.

Outside of that, there’s not much else to go on. We can’t say if this will be a sequel to Immortals of Aveum (highly unlikely given the game’s commercial performance), or if it’s set within the game’s world, or if it’s an existing IP that they’re working.

Speaking of Immortals of Aveum, the game got a title update today to slot in HDR support. While the studio’s already on its next project, Immortals of Aveum is getting another patch in the coming weeks, which will implement AMD FSR 3 on consoles!

Dubbed as patch version 1.0.6.4, players can expect better framerates and performance from the title update.

Thanks to the hard work of our wonderful partners at Enduring Games, patch 1.0.6.4 will soon bring AMD FidelityFX™ Super Resolution 3 (FSR 3), including its frame generation capability, to Immortals of Aveum on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, as well as FSR 3 updates for PC! We’re pumped that Immortals of Aveum will be the first game to implement FSR 3 with frame gen on consoles. Soon, console and PC players alike can take advantage of FSR 3’s temporal upscaling, advanced frame generation, and built-in latency reduction technology for improved framerates and game performance.”

Ascendant adds that FSR 3 update will also extend support for Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) monitors and TVs on both PC and consoles. This will improve frame pacing and reduce occurrences of judder and screen tears. For those on PC, this will update FSR 3 to a newer, better version that will improve visual quality and performance of its temporal upscaling.
