Pearl Abyss has blown the lid wide open on the Black Desert Online Land of the Morning Light expansion! Set to release this June 14, it will usher in a new progression method, new payer hub, a new region and loads more! Check out the list of new content and gameplay improvements in one place below.

Black Desert Online’s latest expansion takes players on a perilous journey through the mythical Land of the Morning Light. Along the way, Adventurers will become embroiled in a crisis engulfing the continent, falsely accused of wrongdoing and forced to prove their innocence. After defeating powerful foes, they will discover the true evil lurking in the shadows.

Explore breathtaking landscapes filled to the brim with life, marvel at intricate architecture inspired by the Joseon period characteristic for medieval Korea, and experience thrilling combat with unique boss monsters that resemble villains and characters from traditional Korean folklore and myth. Dolswe, a new trusty companion, will join Adventurers on this exciting journey and offer advice and assistance along the way.

New Gameplay Features:

• New Region: Land of the Morning Light, a land filled with mysteries and creatures inspired by Korean
  folktales and legend
• New Progression Method: A non-linear questline, featuring 8 unique stories (15 chapters) where players
  are able to choose the order they want to complete each quest
• New Starting Experience: Players can select Land of the Morning Light as their starting point in the game
• New Combat Content: “Boss Blitz” where players will experience eight unique boss fights, each one starting with a series of missions and connected storylines leading up to, and finishing with, a Boss Blitz. Players can compete with other players for the highest score
• New Player Hub: Visit Dalbeol, a picturesque village that exudes an authentic Korean ambience with distinct terrain and architecture
• New Ship: Introducing Panokseon, a boat customizable with special gear and crew members, making it a versatile option for various naval content in Black Desert Online
• Revamped Lifeskill Activities: Newly added mini-games can reduce the required time for various lifeskill
  activities and provide an opportunity to acquire a rare item that grants a special buff
• New Housing and Furniture: Two Korean-style residences and traditional furniture for player housing
• New Gear Piece: Top-tier gear Dahn’s Gloves can be crafted with materials found in the new region and can be specialized in damage reduction or evasion

Additional Notes:

• Land of the Morning Light is Black Desert Online’s second new player starting zone where level one players immediately can jump in and start playing the main questline
• Land of the Morning Light moves away from repetitive grinding in the usual monster zones and invites
  players to challenge a variety of fearsome bosses with unique mechanics that can be defeated on various difficulty levels
• The newly implemented ‘attribute’ system makes Boss Blitz content more accessible for novice players
  without high-stat gear
• The improved Crystal system provides two additional slots for crystals and there will be three new crystals that provide significant buff to character stats
• The Expansion features more than 100 minutes of fully rendered cut-scenes with 5,000+ lines of voice acting, providing an immersive storyline that reads like a novel. Completed quests will be stored in the ‘Storybook’, in which players will be able to revisit the endings at any time
