Black Ops 7 Beta Already Targeted by Cheaters
To the surprise of no one, cheaters are already invading Black Ops 7 beta, with players sharing videos online of users using wall hacks and auto-aiming during its early access beta.
This is despite enforcing TPM and Secure Boot requirements, which, while they have likely helped, haven’t entirely stopped cheating from happening.
At least for now, as a big update for the RICOCHET Anti-Cheat system is due to arrive at launch.
Black Ops 7 Cheaters and Hackers Are Already Ruining the Experience, But Activision Has Already Brought the Hammer

In case you missed the news, early access to Black Ops 7 closed beta has started. Despite being limited to invite-only, the beta appears to have already attracted some unwanted guests, as reports of cheaters and hackers have begun surfacing on social media.

The good news for everyone is that the studio has taken swift action on the user in the video. Considering how popular Call of Duty is, it’s not surprising to see the game targeted by these groups of players.
However, this year’s release is slightly different, as it requires PC players to have both TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot enabled, new measures intended to enhance security on PCs. It should be pointed out that these features aren’t foolproof, and anyone could have probably told you that TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot were never going to be a “silver bullet” against these groups.
Still, there is some hope leading into the game’s launch, as the requirements weren’t so much to keep cheaters and hackers away right now, but more so as part of being the big upgrade that Call of Duty’s RICOCHET Anti-Cheat system is getting, which won’t happen until this November, when Black Ops 7 launches. As this is a beta, it’s the perfect time for Activision and the Call of Duty Studio to track situations like this and to use the data collected here to counteract the tools in the full release. We’re hopeful that whatever upgrades they have in store for RICOCHET will be enough to keep these types of players at bay. But to be fair, this will likely be a never-ending battle as it has been for so many other online-centric games.
I suppose we won’t know for certain until November, but for now, please report any players who may be cheating using the in-game tools.
The Black Ops 7 Beta is currently available to early access players and will run until October 5, 2025. It will then open to the general public and run until October 8, 2025.
