Doom Eternal Render Modes Brings Classic Gaming Visuals

doom eternal render mode

A free Doom Eternal update has been issued, which introduces some new render modes to give your game a classic look.

Doom Eternal render modes will come in eight  different variant, all calling back to how we use to play video games. And a more retro pixelated look? Or how about a full green filter? Maybe you grew up playing in black & white? However you played, chances are one of those eight filters will cover it. Down below you’ll find a trailer, which shows all eight render modes off.

Here’s how you can access the mode, as detailed by Bethesda:

Enabled at any time via the in-game options menu under the ‘Video’ tab, Render Modes display the game with special filters that set the mood for your upcoming Ultra Nightmare run, PHOTOMODE shoot or collectible hunt. Take a gander at Render Modes in action!

Talk about some pretty awesome ways to play! The mode is now available across all platforms Doom Eternal is on. If you haven’t checked it out yet, be sure to read our review of Doom Eternal, which scored a 9/10! You can read the review here: MP1st’s Doom Eternal Review

Doom Eternal is now available for purchase on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
