Dragon Age Day Recap & Dragon Age: Dreadwolf 2D Cinematic Revealed

Dragon Age Day

BioWare celebrated its fifth annual Dragon Age Day last December 4, featuring updates surrounding the Dragon Age franchise. For one, a new short story titled As We Fly just came out, and the Sims 4 is set to have a small collaboration with Dragon Age.

Two of BioWare’s biggest projects were also mentioned. The Netflix series, titled Dragon Age: Absolution, is right around the corner, with it premiering this December 9 on the streaming service.

With great power at stake, a group of mages, fighters, and thieves goes head to head against a sinister force possessing a dangerous artifact. This animated fantasy series is created by Mairghread Scott, writer of “Justice League Dark: Apokolips War”.

Set in the world of BioWare’s award-winning video game franchise, and built in close collaboration with BioWare’s creative team – including head writers, and lead creative directors.

Fear. Guilt. Pain. Can Miriam push aside her feelings to complete her mission – or will the trauma looming over her past finally catch up with her?

Nothing is absolute.

Aside from Absolution, BioWare also dropped an in-game cinematic trailer for their latest entry to the Dragon Age franchise, titled Dragon Age: DreadWolf.

While there isn’t any release date for the game just yet, it’s already under development, with the game hitting its Alpha phase back in October. Dragon Age: DreadWolf is set to release on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S|X, and PC.

Other than the new projects that BioWare was working on, the developer also celebrated with the community throughout Dragon Age Day. The community partnered with the Trans Empowerment Project, a nonprofit, as this year’s charity of choice. For reference, Last year’s Dragon Age Day managed to raise $27,224.69 for the AbleGamers charity just last year.

With 2022 coming to a close, Dragon Age fans can look forward to even more Dragon Age content in the near future.
