Dying Light 2 Sales Reached 5 Million in First Month, Dying Light 1 Now at 20 Million

Dying Light 2 Sales

Dying Light 2 sales have reached an amazing milestone, as it has surpassed the 5 million mark during its first month on sale. The announcement comes from developer Techland, who also announced that the original Dying Light now sits at 20 million copies sold, an amazing feat for a single-player title.

In a press release, Techland CEO Pawel Marchewka states:

“The success of the Dying Light franchise is a great example of the unforgettable experiences we create for our players.”

Strong sales aside, Dying Light 2 still has a ton of content ahead of it; just a few weeks ago, Techland announced that the next big patch for the game is due out at the end of April. This patch will add new and requested features like New Game+ and so much more, and you can check out the full article here.

If you haven’t picked up the game for yourself, give it a try, as it scored an 8.5 in our review, where AJ wrote, “While Dying Light 2 improves on its predecessor in nearly every way, occasional bugs hamper the experience and a few of the gameplay changes are ones I could have done without. Still, if you’re someone who’s been looking forward to the game, nothing that I experienced in my nearly 30 hours with the game was a complete deal breaker, and in fact I enjoyed my time quite a bit. If you’re someone that’s been on the fence, or perhaps mildly interested in Dying Light 2, I definitely think it’s an experience that’s worth your time, and one that stands out amongst the crowded zombie genre. If you were a fan of the original and have been eagerly anticipating Dying Light 2, it’s an easy day one purchase, and one that delivers on every promise that Techland set for it.”

Stay tuned here at MP1st for the full patch notes once that next big update for Dying Light 2 finally releases!
