Dying Light 2 Update 1.53 Released for Version 1.17.2 This July 4
Techland has released Dying Light 2 update 1.53 (PS5 version 1.053) that brings a bunch of fixes to the Tower Raid Beta content released last week. Called the DL2 hotfix version 1.17.2, the update’s complete patch notes is available below.
Dying Light 2 Update 1.53 Patch Notes for July 4:
• Fixed a crash that sometimes occurred in co-op, when one player throws an explosive and another fires the Spitfire Shotgun at the same time
• Fixed the issue with Fast Travel icons for Downtown and the Floating Fortress Metro Stations disappearing from the map after sleeping in any bed
• Fixed the issue blocking the Player from purchasing the Scorpio from Jai
• Fixed the issue blocking the Player from claiming free items if the account never had any DL points
• Fixed the occasional issue where dropping from a co-op session might lead to game progression not being saved until the save is reloaded
• Fixed Jai’s ending dialogue cutting off after completing a Tower Raid
• Fixed the VO translation of the floor number in Tower Raid for several languages
• Fixed several problematic bounties for Tower Raid
• Fixed the issue with the Tower Raid intro quest missing localization in the journal in multiple languages
• Fixed the incorrect description of The Black Scarab accessory (regarding its charging methods)
• Fixed the issue with the guns that the Player finds in Tower Raid dealing the same damage as the ones that they can buy from Jai
• Fixed the issue that caused the Black Scarab’s status VFX to be different than the VFX for the Talon of Horus
• Fixed a glitch that allowed to loot Tower Raid chest endlessly
• Fixed the issue with the Tower Raid where sometimes the elevator doesn’t stop its sound for the peer
• Fixed the issue with players sometimes not being able to join each other using Quick join option in Main Menu on Xbox platforms
• Fixed the issue with sometimes missing modifier on HUD in Tower Raid
• Fixed an issue with Tower Raid extinguishers dealing too much damage
• PK Hammerbasher now has the proper skin reflected when using 3d preview from the inventory
Expect another patch for the game soon-ish, as there are more planned fixes to the game, and the Tower Raid will eventually be out of beta at some point as well.
