Western Earth Defense Force fans waiting for an English-translated version of Earth Defense Force 6 and Earth Defense Force World Brother 2 will be happy to learn it’s finally happening. However, while support for English subtitles and dub is being added to Earth Defense Force 6 and World Brother 2, it’ll only be for the Asia version, which will be released in 2024. This means you’ll have to import it, at least for now.

This was announced during D3’s Tokyo Game Show conference, revealing new trailers for both titles and announcing English support for both titles in the 2024 Asia release.

About EDF6 – The year is 2024 AD. Humanity has won the long battle against alien invaders. The Primer is gone, and tranquility has returned to Earth. However, with the population reduced to 10 percent, civilization is on the brink of collapse. Day after day, the survivors fight against what threats remain while trying their best to rebuild. Fast forward three years. Now in 2027, in a seemingly hopeless new world, the time has come once again to save the Earth from its fate.

It’s up to you to save the world! And of course, all missions support online co-op play for up to four players (two players in offline split-screen mode). Command all four military branches and battle alongside real Earth Defense Force soldiers from all over the world!

The planet is once again torn apart by a monster hell-bent on death and destruction… As the Brothers struggle amidst the crisis, new legendary members explode onto the scene! Four military units from Earth Defense Force 6, the latest installment in the series, have entered the fray. Once again, voxel Earth’s fate is in the hands of its defenders. Who will triumph?

As we mentioned, both these titles will come with complete English translation and dub, though, unfortunately, there is no Western release at the time of this announcement. That means you’ll have to purchase the games from an Asia PlayStation account or import a physical copy if you want to play it in English.

Hopefully, a Western release announcement is on the horizon, but we suppose this should make fans happy.
