EA has released the FIFA 22 update 1.000.007 for both last-gen and next-gen consoles today, and this is a minor patch. Called Title Update #5 by the devs, check out what’s new and the known issues being looked at in the official patch notes below.

Gameplay

Made the following change:

  • Increased the likelihood of a player retaining the ball after intercepting or blocking a Ground Pass.
    • This change has no effect on how often Ground Passes are intercepted and blocked, it only impacts the outcome of interceptions and blocks.

While that’s a small gameplay change for this patch, here are the known issues the studio is looking at (via the official FIFA Trello board):

[FUT] Match lobby ping indicator is not behaving as expected.

Description

The pre-match ping indicator is not showing the correct value. This is a visual issue only.

[Gameplay] Manual Through Ball behaving as Semi-Assisted.

Description

The Manual Through Ball setting is being overwritten as Semi-Assisted when the Competitive Master Switch is enabled.

[Companions] Inability to enter Repeatable SBCs after marking one as a favorite.

Description

Repeatable SBCs cannot be completed after adding one of them as a favorite.

Workaround: Fully close the Companion/Web App and launch it again.
