Former Call of Duty Devs Form “Deviation Games,” and Working With PlayStation

Deviation Games

At the Summer Game Fest digital event, former Treyarch Game Director Dave Anthony, and Co-Studio Head of Treyarch Jason Blundell announced that they have formed “Deviation Games,” a new studio working on a new IP!

While no gameplay teaser or whatnot was shown at the event, the duo did confimr they are working with Sony, though we don’t exactly what. Here’s what’s on the Deviation Games website:

Creatives are all about pushing boundaries and trying new things. We’ve created an environment where our teams feel comfortable exploring the new and the cutting edge. Whether you’re in game development, HR or accounting, we want you to constantly evolve creatively.

We believe the best way to do this is through collaboration. The creative energy that flows when everyone shares the same love for what they do is priceless, and it’s the key to creating games that resonate with players and industry leaders alike. Deviation Games is the place for your ideas to be expressed and heard. When collaboration is paired with the clear direction of our leadership, it results in games with unlimited potential for success.

The studio has a newly created Twitter account too.
Chances are, given the duo’s background, the game the studio is making will be a shooter. Once we know more, we’ll let our readers know.
