Today, at EVO 2022, publisher Bandai Namco announced that Tekken 7 will be getting a free major update, and also confirmed the date and venue for the Tekken World Tour 2022 Global Finals. The announcements came along with a trailer and a teaser for a new Tekken game.

The Tekken 7 Battle Update will be launching on August 17, 2022. It features major adjustments including unspecified balance adjustments, new tactics, and more. There wasn’t much shared regarding the patch, though expect Bandai Namco to share more information as we move closer to the rollout date. Onto more related Tekken news, the Tekken World Tour Global Finals has finally been given a date and place. It’ll be taking place in Amsterdam on February 4 of 2023 and end the following day, crowning a new champion. It’s likely we’ll get more series news, including future updates around Tekken 7 and potentially more information regarding Tekken 8, so keep an eye out next year.
