Released in September 2018, GungHo Online Entertainment’s free-to-play action game Let It Die is stil alive and kicking, and it seems it’s about to get one of the most requested community features soon.

If the headline wasn’t a dead giveaway, I’m, of course, referring to an offline version.

This is something the developers confirmed is set to come to the game, though no release date for it has been given yet.

Let It Die Offline Version Confirmed

Developer Supertrick Games confirmed the offline version in the latest Let It Die: Inferno developer diary, stating (via Gematsu, ““We’ve been running the service for a very long time since it started—we’ve been running it for a long time, but we’ve gotten feedback from customers for a long time that they want an offline version.” The game’s producer, Uncle Death, continued, “So I thought, ‘Maybe we should just go ahead and make an offline version.’ Uncle was taking a bath the other day and just thought of it. And we decided to start production.”

Don’t expect it anytime soon, as the developers confirmed that today’s announcement is only a confirmation that they have decided to add an offline mode. No timetable has been set for when it’ll be released. The other good news is, the developers confirmed data will carry over, adding, “That data can be carried over to the offline version… It’s not starting from zero. The data you’ve been playing with won’t be lost.”

That’s not the only thing franchise fans can look forward to, as Let It Die: Inferno, which is a premium title (read: paid), is set to be released on PS5 and PC on December 3.

The game overview for Infero reads, “A roguelike survival action game where you scavenge SPLithium in the brutal depths of Hell Gate and fight to make it out alive.”

Once we know the date for when the offline version is out, we’ll let our readers know.
