King of Fighters 15 Official Character Announcement Released, Official Trailer Reveal Set for January 2021

king of fighters 15

SNK fans who have patiently waited for news on the next installment of the long-running King of Fighters series got some pretty solid news, as the developers of the game have announced three of the characters who will be appearing in The King of Fighters 15 as well as formally announcing via Twitter that the official trailer for the game will premiere on January 7, 2021!

Here’s the official character announcement trailer as featured by IGN:

As seen in the trailer, two of the veteran fighters returning to KOF will be Kyo Kusanagi and Benimaru Nikaido — friendly rivals as well as teammates who have long served as members of the Japan Team in the KOF series. Their return is unsurprising as they are among the most popular members of the series who have appeared in every King of Fighters installment alongside the likes of SNK series mascot Terry Bogard (who will no doubt be a part of this game as well as he’s in KOF “every year”). The third character, Shun’ei, first appeared in KOF XIV and is a student of the Fatal Fury character Tung Fu Rue. He served as the main character of that game, and will probably continue to play an important role in the new sequel.
