Insomniac Games has spun out Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 update 1.001.003, which is the game’s first-ever patch since release. This adds in new fixes to the superhero game with the improper flag we reported on before now fixed.
Read on for what’s new in the official Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 patch notes for October 26 straight from Insomniac!
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Update 1.001.003 Patch Notes:
Size: 551MB
Today’s patch corrects an error where the Cuban flag was incorrectly displayed instead of the Puerto Rican flag. We understand that accurate representation matters, and greatly regret this error. We sincerely apologize and will do better in the future.
General Fixes & Polish:
- Addressed an issue where an incorrect flag was displayed
- Addressed an issue where models would not load properly after long play sessions
- Addressed an issue where The Amazing 2 Suit’s Spider logo appeared too bright
- Improved stability
That’s about it for this update. We should be getting another patch before the year is out that should add New Game+ and more into the game.
In other Spider-Man 2 news, Insomniac has announced that the game has already sold over 2.5 million units in just its first day out.

I hope the next patch gives us the option to switch the symbiote tendril color from white to black after completing the main story.
Yes true perhaps with a patch
I see they fixed the flag issue where the Cuban flag was displayed incorrectly and not the Puerto Rican flag.
There was really no need to apologise. It was a simple mistake and was not in the slightest bit racist.
