Mass Effect N7 Day Teaser Decoded, Features Liara and the Geth

Mass Effect N7 Day Teaser Decoded

Earlier today, BioWare launched a new Mass Effect teaser of sorts that housed some rather cryptic audio as part of N7 Day. Well, as expected, the community has already solved it already!

In the audio recording, Liara T’Soni’s voice can be heard, and she’s referencing humans and The Council! Give it a listen in the embed below.

The full audio states (via Spik3dpandora):

“I can see it, how did we miss this?”

(Liara): “Exactly, the council will be furious. Although, they should know by now not to underestimate human defiance, this was their most deeming feat.” — deeming or damning, it’s a toss up at this point.

Note that it’s hard to decipher everything that’s said given there’s Geth noise garbling the audio, which is intentional for sure While nothing was shown, we do know a few things: Liara will be part of the new Mass Effect game, The Geth will somehow be involved as well.

Hopefully, more teases and clues are released, though we aren’t expecting any to surface anytime soon. For Mass Effect fans that need a refresher, Liara T’Soni is an asari researcher, who becomes part of Shepard’s army, and is even a potential love interest. At the end of the Shadow Broker DLC for Mass Effect 2, Liara takes on the role of Shadow Broker, though promises to help Shepard in his mission.

As for The Council, here’s a description via the Mass Effect Fandom wiki:

The Citadel Council is the governing body of the Citadel. Convening in the impressive Citadel Tower, the Council is the ultimate authority in Citadel space, passing judgement for violations of Council law, settling disputes between governments, and maintaining law and order, often through the use of its own covert intelligence service, the Spectres.

The next Mass Effect game is still quite far off, though we’re hoping more details will be revealed next year. Does this mean Commander Shepard is back? It sure seems like it, and it’s one possibility that I think quite a lot of Mass Effect fans will relish.

Thanks, freshavoc!
