Metaphor: ReFantazio Update 1.04

With Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance launching next week, all eyes will soon be shifting to ATLUS’ other upcoming title, Metaphor: ReFantazio. While we are still a few months away from its release, ATLUS has begun slowly pulling the curtains back on the title, as the latest gameplay video for Metaphor: ReFantazio has given us a deep dive look into the Archetypes, Battle System, Dungeons, and more.

Metaphor: ReFantazio Gameplay Dives Deep

Tons of information was revealed during the showcase, including the confirmation of 14 basic Archetypes, each with a lineage that will unlock more Archetypes. Over 40 of them are confirmed to be available at launch.

Additionally, the team showed off how Archetypes will play an essential role in dungeons, encouraging players to play creatively and strategically when it comes to dungeons. Overall, Metaphor: ReFantazio is looking fantastic, and we cannot wait to get our hands on it this October.

In the meantime, here’s another trailer that debuted during the Summer Game Fest event.

Metaphor: ReFantazio will be released on October 11 for the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Microsoft Windows, Xbox Series X and Series S.

The game releases the same day as DBZ Sparking Zero, I’m kinda curious because Metaphor Refantazio is a 1p game but the playstation Store says 2 players. What features does it have that make it considered as a 2p game if the campaign is single player. Maybe a online leaderboard or something.
ARCtypes seem very similar in comparison to personas.
