Sony has announced today that the company will be taking the PlayStation Network offline this Monday for a scheduled round of maintenance.
“We wanted to take a moment to inform you of a network maintenance, currently scheduled for Monday the 17th, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM Pacific Time (12:00 PM to 6:00 PM Eastern Time),” Sony wrote in a note to the public. “We expect this maintenance to last approximately 6 hours. During this time we will deploy a series of back-end improvements to the network.”
However, if you’ve signed in to the network any time today, November 13, or after, you’ll still be able to play games online and access partner apps like Netflix, so no need to panic. What will not be available is the PlayStation Store and PlayStation Home and Account Management.
