While we’ve known from the initial announcement that Ubisoft’s Star Wars Outlaws is planned for 2024 when exactly has remained a mystery, that is, until now, as Disney has seemingly confirmed that the title is due for release late this year.

In a “24 Things Coming in 2024” blog post by Disney Parks, the company has listed the Star Wars Outlaws release window as “late 2024.”

“And for Star Wars fans – Star Wars Outlaws, the open-world Star Wars game is set to release late this year.

The game lets you explore distinct planets across the galaxy, both iconic and new.  You can risk it all as Kay Vess, an emerging scoundrel seeking freedom and the means to start a new life, along with her companion Nix. If you’re willing to take the risk, the galaxy is full of opportunity.”

Ubisoft previously announced that they had delayed a big mysterious game set to release in March 2024. Said title was given an April 2024 to March 2025 window and has been speculated to be Star Wars Outlaws, despite it never having a release date other than 2024. 

Regardless, that’s a pretty decent wait, though looking at current future releases, there isn’t much slated for late 2024. That’s all likely to change in the coming months, but at least, if accurate, we’ll have something big to look forward to towards the end of the year. 

I’m just surprised that the title is even slated for this year, given it was announced last year.
