Subnautica 2 Officially Announced; Coming to Early Access in 2025
Unknown Worlds and Krafton have officially unveiled Subnautica 2, the next game in the beloved open-water survival series. This sequel will let players explore a new alien ocean, either solo or in co-op mode.
Originally planned for release in 2024, the game is now set to enter Early Access in 2025. It will be available for PC and Xbox Series X|S, and the good news is that it will also be part of Game Pass.
Subnautica 2 will expand on what fans loved about the previous games by introducing new biomes, from towering underwater cliffs to vibrant coral fields. Each area will be filled with unique creatures and hidden mysteries waiting to be uncovered.
Through Early Access, players will also have the chance to help shape the future of Subnautica 2. Feedback from the community will guide the developers as they fine-tune biomes, storylines, and much more.
Alongside the news, Krafton has also revealed a teaser trailer to give players a first look at what’s in store. You can watch the teaser trailer here:
