The Division 2 Seasons 2.0 Planned Changes to Be Re-evaluated in Response to Player Feedback
Just last month, Ubisoft’s Massive Entertainment announced the Year 6 roadmap where it mentioned the Seasons 2.0 changes that included the roll out of Seasonal Characters. To no one’s surprise, the community didn’t take that news very well. It seems the dev team has heard enough, and have announced that The Division 2 Seasons 2.0 changes are being re-evaluated.
The announcement was made over on Twitter/X where the following message was relayed:

Agents,
We hear you and we want to assure you that we have carefully considered your feedback after the announcement of Seasons 2.0.
After thorough examination and discussions with the team, we have decided to re-evaluate Seasons 2.0 with particular attention to Seasonal Characters with the goal of progressing without them. This change will not impact the previously announced Year 6 plans, but it will require us to assess the changes necessary to the new Seasonal Experience, which will be integrated with Year 6 Season 2 this fall. Once we have ironed out the finer details, we will return with more information, a livestream and PTS.
Thank you for making your voices heard and your continued support as we work to improve The Division 2 experience to serve our community./ The Division 2 Development Team
As you can see, the changes haven’t been finalized yet, but there are confirmed changes incoming, and it seems Seasonal Characters won’t be part of the equation. The studio even released a Seasons 2.0 FAQ last month, which we’re not sure now whether it’s still relevant or not.
Once we know more about it, we’ll be sure to let our readers know. What would you want to see from The Division 2’s new seasonal changes?
