The Witcher 3 Update on PC for March 23 Improves DLSS 3

CD Projekt RED has issued The Witcher 3 update for March 23 on PC, and this improves the stability of DLSS 3! Check out the official patch notes and announcement for it below.

The Witcher 3 Update for March 23 Patch Notes:

A hotfix for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is out on PC. It improves the stability of the game running on the GeForce RTX 40 Series Graphics Cards related to DLSS 3. The game version won’t change.

Players shouldn’t expect a new game version from this hotfix, and for those not aware, this patch should improve The Witcher 3 on PC’s stability while running on the GeForce RTX 40 cards with NVIDIA DLSS3.

Don’t forget, we just got the big 4.02 patch last week! You can read the full changelog right here, but we’ve also included the PC-specific technical fixes outlined in it:

PC-SPECIFIC

  • Improved CPU core utilization in the DX 12 version.
  • Restored horizon-based ambient occlusion. Players who had previously turned Ambient Occlusion off will need to do so again. You can find it in Options → Video → Graphics.
  • Fixed an issue where the “My Rewards” section was not localized in REDlauncher.
  • Fixed an issue with a flickering landscape in Toussaint that occurred when NVIDIA HairWorks was disabled.
  • Fixed an issue related to particle optimization which could result in temporary stuttering.

Same as always, if there’s a new patch released for the game, we’ll have it up! Bookmark our The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt game hub for the latest news.
