Wayfinder Next Update Titled “Call of the Void,” Rolls Out Early October: Upcoming Changes Detailed

For those avid RPG enthusiasts out there, we’ve got an update on a recent free-to-play MMO’s next update. The Wayfinder Call of the Void update will drop sometime in early October, and we’re looking forward to it. We’ve got some details on what to expect, as well as a little teaser for Founder’s Season 2, which should release before the end of the year.

Call of the Void:

Call of the Void is Wayfinder’s mid-season update and features a few new pieces of content to look forward to:

• New Quests – The game is introducing 2 new quests to challenge your skills. One of these quests will have you brave the fires of chaos as you confront the formidable Highlands Fire Lord in Harbingers of Chaos. The Final Score unlocks the fearsome Drill Machine, a weapon that has been constructed in secret within the Mines and is prepared to stop Wayfinders in their tracks!
• New Lost Zone – Venture into the eerie depths of a new Lost Zone, Gloom Dungeon, and introduce foes to your newest friend, a weapon the team is affectionately naming, “Juggernaut.” Forged for the Balgrim Shaarak’uul in the Halls Below and claimed as spoils of war by the Archon Halavant. Few can withstand its crushing blows.
• Event Rewards – There’s an exclusive reward for those who complete the event while it’s active – a coveted Gloom Dagger skin, Dawning Hope! Are you up for the challenge?

The team’s also released a few quality of life patches that aim to fix some common issues for players. They’ve resolved server queue issues and made some minor adjustments to things like XP gain and Echo limit. A Phase 2 of QoL updates will land further down the road.

Founders Season 2

While we don’t know much about the upcoming Season 2, the team released a trailer for the next Wayfinder at TGS, which you can see here:

Players who already own a Founder’s Awakened or Exalted Pack will gain access to Grendel immediately upon release. The Wayfinder team is calling Season 2 the “halfway point” to the game’s full release in 2024. We can’t wait to see how the full game turns out. It’s nice to see the team working hard to create new content and take in player feedback.
