Ark Survival Ascended Gets Another Update This September 7, Fixes Audio Issues, Performance Improvements
With the Aberration patch in full swing, it seems the content drop hasn’t gone down as well as Studio Wildcard would have liked, as not only were there crashing issues, but there’s even issues now affecting gameplay and the overall game experience. Having said that, the studio has rolled out a new Ark Survival Ascended update this September 7 (PS5 version 1.052.013, PC version 52.13), and this fixes the audio mismatching with the cinematics alongside other improvements.
Read on for everything that got changed for Ark Survival Ascended’s third patch in the last three days (if I’m not mistaken).
Ark Survival Ascended Update Patch Notes for Version 1.052.013:
v52.12 – Minor version for Servers v52.13 – Minor version for Steam Clients
- Fixed a bug where the audio was mismatched in some cinematics

- Fixed a crash caused by the player character dying out of the map bounds (caused by climbing pick use — we’re still working on the whole ending up out of bounds, but the crash is resolved)

- Fixed Genescanner so it works in other languages

- Vsync is now defaulted to on – In our testing, we’ve discovered that Frame Interpolation functions a lot better with V-Sync enabled and would recommend you use this setting too, but if you don’t want to it can be disabled in your video settings.

- Capsule Indirect shadows now work on the other maps.

- Lumen lighting changes to improve performance

- Alpha Karkinos no longer have wild babies
- Fixed a bug where Tinkering Desk BPs were not respective BP caps (retroactive)
- Fixed a bug where you could get infinite stone arrows from Cosmo
- No longer able to use the GooGun on other tribe players/creatures in PvE
- Tier 2/3 Traits now spawn on wild creatures
Note: Some of these fixes will require a client update, which is going through certification on PlayStation and Xbox, but they will be available on the Steam client. PlayStation should be out within within the next 24 hours, Xbox might take until Monday. Xbox and PlayStation can still play on servers as this is a minor version update, but to get the specific client fixes, it’ll be when the next client is available
Hopefully, we won’t get any more bugs from this title update
