While Studio Wildcard released an update last week for Ark Survival Evolved that brings the holiday festivities into the game, the studio has released the Ark Survival Evolved update 2.45 December 23 patch, and this is for a specific fix! Head on below for details about that, as well as a New Year’s surprise event!

Current ARK Official Client Version: v555.2

Current Version: v555.13- 12/22/2020 – PS4

• Temporarily disabled Bulbdog from being picked up when it has a ghost costume on (this will be reverted in the future when we can update the client to fix a crash)

Current Version: v320.31 – 12/23/2020 _ PC

• Fixed an exploitable client side crash

Current Version: v806.14- 12/22/2020 – Xbox One

• Re-enabled Surface Reaper and Lunar Reapers spawns
• Temporarily disabled Bulbdog from being picked up when it has a ghost costume on (this will be reverted in the future when we can update the client to fix a crash)

In addition to the patch, the studio has announced a New Year’s surprise event! Here’s the schedule and what to expect:

At midnight EST on Dec 31st and midday EST Jan 1st, our Official Networks will be bombarded with raining gifts in a hail of fireworks to mark the end of 2020. These gifts will contain a collection of your favourite skins from past events that are currently unavailable and a chibi bonanza! And by bonanza, we mean, the drop rate of Rare, Very Rare and Legendary chibis will be dialled to over 9000!
