Ark Survival Evolved Update 2.56 Patch Notes for April 30

Studio Wildcard has released the Ark Survival Evolved update 2.56 patch notes for April 30. This update appears to be a minor one.

PlayStation

• Shadowmane Chibi now available for anyone who has collected all the Genesis Chronicles Explorer Notes
• Fixed a localisation crash
• Removed Easter Holiday content

Xbox 

• Fixed an issue affecting local player save files.

PC – These notes are from an update on 4/28. Will update if these change, thouhg it seems to address, add, and remove the same thing from the console’s revision already.

• Fixed a localisation crash
• Fixed an exploit that allowed players to cause others to disconnect using dedicated storage boxes
• Removed Easter Holiday content
• Eliminated edge cases where servers could have more players than the config would allowed 

For those affected by the recent save bug in Ark Survival Evolved, this update will prevent further corruption, however the studio has issued an apology and states that they cannot restore lost saves.

We’ve made some progress on the issue affecting single-player saves after testing the fix and have submitted the path for certification. Unfortunately, we will not be able to retroactively restore any save files that were lost with the update and for that, we apologize sincerely. We understand how detrimental and impactful this is to those who have lost their progress. There are now new measures in place to prevent these occurrences from happening in the future.
