Developer COWCAT Games has released BROK the InvestiGator Update 1.04 on all platforms today. This update includes many bug fixes and gameplay improvements. Check out the BROK the InvestiGator March 20 patch notes below.

The patch notes were revealed via the game’s PS4 update history. You can see the full details down below. 

– Fix: Displaying chapter select tutorial in menu then exiting the menu would not allow to open the menu again.
– Fixes a softlock with accessibility on Border Post if “puzzles adapted” is active but not “simplified rooms”.
– Fixed: the ad on hologram in Factory cannot be picked up with direct control.
– Fixes a crash with accessibility on the first tutorial if we don’t select “repeat buttons”
but “fully narrated” is selected.
– Fixed: If we managed to skip the drones fight in Chapter 3, hints would get stuck on it.
– Fixed: Switching player or to summary when outside the school in chapter 2 would not restore the state properly when back.
– Fixed: Vibrations level was truncated to 0% / 100% / 200% when saved instead of the real value.
– Fixed: Chapter select now restores the Tramp prescription if he’s still alive and we no longer had it.
– Fixed: Shay no longer talks about help with materials if we already gave them.
– Fixed: An ad in Dr. Mink’s room was invisible.
– Fixed: An ad still appeared at night at Border Post even if already picked up.

ACCESSIBILITY UPDATE

BROK is now the first full-fledged adventure game to be fully playable by blind players!

– Fully narrated via text-to-speech and audiodescriptions.
– Puzzles adapted for blindness.
– Positional audio for fights, which of course can be skipped.
– No online connectivity required.
– No specific device required, play with keyboard or a controller.
– Additional options for larger fonts and increased contrast.
– Accessibility: Font for credits wasn’t suitable when large fonts is activated.
– Accessibility: Some characters weren’t displayed for accessibility menu in French.
– Accessibility: Fixed missing back button when entering accessibility screen in-game the first time.
– Accessibility: ad on Trasher Hunt panel is now accessible (relocated outside the closeup)
– Accessibility: speeches are now only played through positional audio if the option is selected.
– Accessibility: Positional audio option is temporarily disabled on Mac (it causes crashes) but all other options are now available.
– Accessibility: First dialogue of Graff with NMER wasn’t correctly speeched.
– Accessibility: added a “no screen shaking” option.
– Accessibility: added an “automatically ask to skip fights” option.
– Accessibility: you can now press the repeat buttons again to stop the current speech.
– Accessibility: the attack stat was not rounded when speeched.
– Accessibility: automatic play is now enabled when selecting all options.
– Accessibility: fixed sewers machinery puzzle repeating some useless sounds.
– Accessibility: holding skip button for too long would repeat the choice and softlock the game.
– Past conversations are now spoken (for everyone)
