Crimson Desert Update 1.000.557 Released on September 21 for Version 2.03.01

Pearl Abyss has released a new patch for Crimson Desert that brings the game to version 2.03.01 on all platforms.

Console gamers will see this as Crimson Desert update 1.000.557 and this applies a fix to the aiming issues some players have experienced with controllers.

With news that Kojima Productions' Physint is now being developed in parternship wth Xbox instead of Sony, possibly the big question on everyone's mind is: will Physint still appear on PlayStation platforms? Even the game's creator, Hideo Kojima, doesn't have the answer for that currently, though he did say that he doesn't have any bad feelings toward the company.

Crimson Desert’s Latest Hotfix Fixes Duo Minigame Issues in Tommaso

Today’s fixes include:

• Fixed an issue where lantern aiming would not function with the newly assigned input after customizing the lantern-aim input for controllers.
• Fixed an issue where NPCs for Duo would not appear in Tommaso, making it impossible to play the Duo minigame.
• Fixed an issue where the game would crash when interacting with NPCs in certain situations.

Here are the list of known issues the dev team is looking into, and while these are confirmed to be in development, don’t be surprised if it’s not all fixed in the next game update.

Crimson Desert Known Issues (as of Sept. 21, 2026):

• Icons for newly discovered objects in certain regions do not appear on the map.
• Interactions with NPCs, mounts, and specific objects is unavailable in certain situations.
  • This issue can be temporarily resolved by restarting the game.
• Fish being caught while fishing in certain areas are unable to move.
• Greymane faction quests cannot be progressed while playing as Damiane or Oongka.
• If the “Evasion Control” option is set to “Hold,” the default Evasion key still functions even after the Evasion key has been changed.NPCs required for quest progression cannot ride together on Legendary Animal mounts.
• [Mac] When using a keyboard and mouse at certain resolutions, the cursor position differs from the actual furniture placement point.
• [Mac] The colorblind filter is not applied to the UI when “Colorblind Mode” is enabled.
• [PlayStation] The screen may freeze if characters are entered rapidly while using the virtual keyboard to set the name of a pet or horse.
  • Please enter characters slowly with brief pauses when changing names. We apologize for the inconvenience.
• When using FSR4 upscaling, an issue occurs in rainy environments where rain disappears, or the screen becomes blurry or distorted.

Looking ahead, the next thing players can expect is the release of the Charting the Unknown paid DLC arriving in October.
