Death Stranding 2 Update 1.013 Adds New Content and Features
As promised a few days ago, Kojima Productions is celebrating the launch of Death Stranding 2: On the Beach on PC with a new game update for the PS5 version.
Players will see this as Death Stranding 2 update 1.013 (complete version 1.013.000), and this ushers in a slew of new content and features all for free.

Death Stranding 2 on PS5 Updated to Version 1.013 New Content
New Difficulty Mode “To The Wilder” Added
For those seeking the ultimate gameplay challenge to accompany the story, “to the wilder” mode tests your porter skills to the extreme in merciless environments filled with deadly enemies, and completing orders will require every ounce of ingenuity you can muster. Although there is no turning back once you embark upon this punishing journey, your reward will be a sense of satisfaction that is truly priceless, and you can expect genuine gratitude from the other porters you help.
“Trapped in a Strange Realm” VR Training Area Added
Sam can also access new fieldware including new bandanas which can be unlocked through the newly added “Trapped in a Strange Realm”; a VR training area where you can relive Sam’s epic confrontations with Neil.
Chiral Cat Added to Sam’s Room
Porters can also expect to see visits from the Chiral Feline in the private room aboard the DHV Magellan, new additions – including the Chiral Feline – to Photo Mode.
Connection Bonuses Inbound
PS5 players will also receive PlayStation Connection Bonuses on PC launch day via today’s game update.
Other items mentioned by Kojima in a recent radio interview include:
- New live-action cutscenes that were originally cut due to capacity limits
- New footage added and this includes new nightmares experienced by Sam
- New items
- Adjustments are being implemented based on gameplay data from players around the world
