F1 25 Hotfix 1.08 Adds Support for McLaren x Google Chrome Livery
Codemasters has released a new hotfix for F1 25, and while this is a minor update, it still adds something new to the racing sim. Players will see this as F1 25 update version 1.08/1.008, and this adds a new livery to the game.
Alongside the official list of fixes and changes, we’ve also included the list of known issues Codemasters is looking into for the game.
F1 25 New Update on July 28 Applies Hotfix Version 1.08/1.008 and Adds a New Livery
Here’s what got fixed via Codemasters:
- Added support for the McLaren x Google Chrome Livery (Jul 30 – Sep 16)
- An improvement has been made to reduce CPU load on certain AI evaluations of race conditions seen in the v1.07 patch (PC Only)
Below are the list of confirmed bugs that Codemasters is investigating, while others are primed to be rolled out in the next update.
INVESTIGATING
- Audio | Engineer refers to drivers as the wrong names
- Career | Unable to progress past Driver Ratings Update screen in Two-Player Career
- ❗Workaround: A potential workaround was posted by user MaxBsch1905 and re-shared in this post. The development team continues to investigate the issue.
- Graphics | Incorrect specular highlight in drivers eyes (PC Only)
- Graphics | Light under wheels in Photo Mode when Path Tracing is enabled
- Misc. | Some Iconic Edition players yet to receive their F1 TV Pro Codes (US Only)
- ❗Note from Dev: Whilst most eligible players have received their codes, we are looking to generate a number of additional F1 TV Pro codes for those who pre-ordered the Iconic Edition in the US. We will look to share an update soon. This code will also be displayed on your EA Account under Profile > Payment and Wallet > Offers and Promotions.
- Multiplayer | Host disadvantage at ‘lights out’
- Stability | Crashes when using DLSS with triple-screens (PC Only)
- ❗Workaround: When using triple screens, please disable DLSS for the time being. We are being supported by NVIDIA to resolve this problem.
- Stability | Game crashes on PC
- ❗Note from Dev: If you are still having issues after following our PC troubleshooting guide, please consider logging a new bug with report codes and as much information as possible. This will allow the team to investigate thoroughly.
- ❗Note from Dev: Users on AMD Radeon RX 9000 Series graphics cards should update to Adrenaline 25.5.1 drivers.
AWAITING PATCH
- Planned for later Patch:
- Tracks | Monaco ‘Two-Stop’ not being applied correctly in certain circumstances
- UI | Unable freely to move some OSD elements
- UI | Time left in session UI appears incorrectly
No word on when we’ll get this necxt patch, but chances are it’ll be sometime in August as part of the game’s monthly updates.
For reference, patch 1.07 was released last week, and it resolves a good number of issues.
