EA Sports has now released FIFA 22 update 1.17 for the console versions of the game. This is called Title Update #5, and is for a small gameplay fix, Check out the FIFA 22 February 8 patch notes below.

Gameplay

Made the following change:

  • Increased the likelihood of a player retaining the ball after intercepting or blocking a Ground Pass.
    • This change has no effect on how often Ground Passes are intercepted and blocked, it only impacts the outcome of interceptions and blocks.

In addition to that, here are the confirmed issues the dev team is investigating per the game’s Trello board:

[FUT] Match lobby ping indicator is not behaving as expected.

Description

The pre-match ping indicator is not showing the correct value. This is a visual issue only.

[Gameplay] Manual Through Ball behaving as Semi-Assisted.

Description

The Manual Through Ball setting is being overwritten as Semi-Assisted when the Competitive Master Switch is enabled.

Platforms impacted: PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, Stadia.

[Companions] Inability to enter Repeatable SBCs after marking one as a favorite.

Description

Repeatable SBCs cannot be completed after adding one of them as a favorite.

Workaround: Fully close the Companion/Web App and launch it again.

[FUT] Packs of the same name are opened in the order they were received.
