God of War: Sons of Sparta New Update 1.006

The God of War spin-off title Sons of Sparta has seen its second update be released today, and it applies another set of fixes.

Players on PS5 will see this download as God of War: Sons of Sparta update 1.006, and this brings fixes to quest/progression blockers, Pit Challenge Mode balance changes and more.

For the complete patch notes, read on.

God of War: Sons of Sparta Latest Update Fixes Trophy and Softlock Issues

Save System

  • Implemented additional save system stability measures to help reduce the occurrence of save loss or rollback

The Pit Challenge Mode

  • Balanced difficulty for several Agonies
  • Fixed issues with enemy spawn-in and aggro

Quests and Progression

  • Fixed an issue where collectibles would despawn if the player left the area without picking them up
  • Fixed an issue where Lands of Laconia would not contribute credit toward the “Search High and Low” trophy
    • If you encountered this issue previously, please revisit any Lands of Laconia location (such as the one outside the Agoge in Sparta) to receive retroactive credit towards the side quest’s completion.
  • Fixed an issue where the player would become locked if they attempted to pet a cat while it was leaving Circe’s chamber

Same as the patch released in February, this one is focused on fixes, and we assume any upcoming updates will be the same.

While Sons of Sparta is a smaller game, there is the God of War Greek remake to look forward to in the near future.

  • I’m sorry, but “measures to help reduce the occurrence of save loss or rollback”? REDUCE? There should be absolutely no occurrences of save loss!!! This is unacceptable.
