Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions Update 1.07 Summoned for Bludger Fixes
Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions update 1.07 is now live this November 21 on consoles and PC, and this brings in a lone gameplay-affecting fix. Those on current-gen (PS5/Xbox Series X|S), you should see this as patch version 1.000.007.
Quidditch Champions’ Latest Update Fixes Bludger Issues
Gameplay Balance/Tuning
- Fixed an issue that caused the ‘Bludger Incoming’ warning and its associated audio cues to get stuck on the screen while continually animating.- HPQC-608
Given we just got the Season 1 patch earlier this month that brings in a new 6v6 Mode and more, it’s understandable if the latest patch is a smaller one in scope. For more info on the new mode, head on below.
6v6 Mode
- Players now pick any of the 4 roles before entering a match and will play this role for the entirety of the match. Role swapping is not available in 6v6.
- The Snitch and the Seeker are on the field at all times during a match.
- The Snitch race has been tweaked to account for the extended time on the field:
- Time to fill the Snitch Meter has been increased.
- Reduced the amount of Snitch Meter removed by a Bludger hit to 2.5% (from 5%).
- Reduced the amount of Snitch Meter removed by being eliminated to 10% (from 25%).
- The catch-up mechanic for Seekers on a team trailing 30 points or more has been removed.
- The respawn time for all roles has been reduced to 7 seconds (from 20 seconds).
- Party System:
- Allow parties to include up to 6 players and altered the party UI to accommodate them.
- When playing as a Chaser in 6v6, the Chaser positioned adjacent to your Keeper determines your cosmetic loadout (Chaser Skill Points and Broom Stats are universally applied to all Chasers).
- Matches will not start with Bots, but, similarly to 3v3 Mode, they will fill in when Players drop (until a new player can be found to backfill the empty slot).
- Skillpoints and Broom Stats are present in 6v6.
- We are experimenting with 6v6 mode as our first foray into a ranked game mode.
- Players can view their current rank and skill rating (SR) in the career tab.
- Winning increases SR. Losing decreases SR.
- Leaving a match early results in a SR penalty.
