Following the major version 2.0 release for Lords of the Fallen, developer HexWorks has, as expected, released a follow up patch today that players will see as Lords of the Fallen update 1.071 on consoles (complete version 1.071.000), which is for what the studio calls patch 2.0.9.

Why 2.0.9 and not 2.1? Your guess is as good as mine. What’s important here is that it ushers in a bunch of stability fixes and squashes various gameplay bugs as well.

Lords of the Fallen Update 1.065

Per the developers, here’s what’s new in today’s title update:

  • Fixed multiple instances causing client crashes
  • Improved multiplayer stability, further reducing instances of crashes and disconnects
  • The ‘Mirror of Protection’ consumable (available from Dunmire or Stomund in Skyrest Bridge) is now more effective in preventing Crimson Rituals (player invasions)
  • Improved readability of Vestige menus
  • Fixed an issue where certain items were not following the world state (e.g. items continuing to float in the air after the water had been drained)
  • Addressed several UI issues
  • Fixed an issue where after defeating an invader, players could see their ghost and were incorrectly prompted to revive them
  • Fixed an issue causing Runes to get corrupted when joining a multiplayer session
  • Fixed an issue where localized lines were not displaying correctly in certain languages

The fixes aren’t stopping there, as HexWorks has also confirmed “further updates” are planned in the “coming days” and this will fix issues related to shared progression and co-op.  Once a new patch is out, expect it up here on MP1st.
