Madden NFL 26 Follow Up Patch Drops as Version 1.005 on Aug. 29
After yesterday’s patch rollout of Title Update 3 for Madden NFL 26, Electronic Arts has released another one, which is an unannounced title update. Given the amount of new content and changes in yesterday’s patch, don’t expect anything major here outside of fixes.
Console gamers will see this appear as Madden NFL 26 update 1.005 (complete ver. 01.005.000), and this minor update has been released without much fanfare.
Madden NFL 26 New Update on Aug. 29 Mysteriously Released
Unfortunately, EA has not said anything about today’s update. One community member thinks this patches a blitz glitch. stating, “probably to patch out a good blitz that somebody found because people cant be bothered to pass protect. this game has been wittled down to guys doing 5 yard possession catches because everyone sits in Cover 4 drop and “users” the middle. universe forbid that there be any pressure generated by anyone other than the random algorithm DT nanos.”
There is also a big chance that this patch fixes the inifnite “waiting” screen after opening a pack, since most publishers are quick to patch any issues when it comes to microtransactions.
Outside of that, the Title Update 3 download has, unfortunately, ushered in a fair number of issues. We’ve listed some of the bugs that we know of below.
Madden NFL 26 Issues After Title Update 3 (Not Comprehensive)
- Using the “Hurry Up” offense won’t let the player hike the ball, and there is a bug that one of your receivers just stands.
- Crossplay issues
- Game crashing or won’t launch
- Xbox Series X and PS5 turns off while playing
- Trophies/Achievements bugged (Passing Yards, Rushing Yards as some of the known bugged achievements)
- Desync issues in every MUT game
- Create-a-Player or Prospect body type isn’t changing
- Game freezes when switching play calling tabs to “Favorites”
- Franchise mode freezing issues
There are, of course, additional issues beyond those listed above. We’ve reached out to EA regarding today’s patch, and if we get a response, we’ll update the article with the info.
