Visual Concepts has pushed out NBA 2K24 update 1.010 and as far as we’re aware, this is for current-gen platforms (read: PS5, Xbox Series X|S) only. Given we’re just two weeks in Season 5, don’t expect anything from this title update outside of fixes.

As expected, Visual Concepts has not released any patch notes for today’s update just yet. Hopefully, that will change within the day, but don’t be surprised if the studio doesn’t acknowledge it at all.

Over on the game’s official Discord channel, the developers have commented on cheating in MyCareer, and have mentioned that they are looking “into additional steps” to prevent this from happening. We wouldn’t be surprised if this patch is solely to mitigate the cheating.

Here’s the message from the studio released on March 1, 2024:

“MyCAREER EVENT UPDATE

We have identified certain players in recent NBA 2K24 MyCAREER events who purposefully manipulated event progression for their own gain, resulting in an unfair experience for other players.

As a result, actions have been taken against these players which include disqualification from the event, temporary account bans, permanent account bans, device bans, and/or REP progression resets. We are looking into additional steps to prevent this type of behavior for future MyCAREER events. In addition, the new Top 6 players for Season 4 Rumble on the Cay events will receive the appropriate rewards.

If you believe you have been incorrectly banned, please open a ticket with 2K Support for further assistance.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we work to maintain a fair and enjoyable experience for all players.”
