PUBG Update 1.004 Released to Fix Audio Issues on Consoles
Following the release of a PUBG hotfix on consoles on November 21, this caused an audio bug for gamers that PUBG Studios acknowledged is a thing. Today, the developers have released PUBG update 1.004 (version 1.004.000), which should address any bugs associated with it.
This patch is for console (PS5, Xbox Series X|S) gamers only, and this should be a small download across all platforms.
PUBG Update Released on November 25 and Brings Audio Issues
After the November 21 hotfix, the developers mentioned, “Following today’s hotfix for the audio adjustment patch, we have been notified of the persistent abnormal audio issue.” The developers also said, they are “currently investigating the cause and working to restore the audio back to normal as soon as possible.”
Today, the studio announced, “An additional hotfix was implemented today at 05:13 UTC to fix an issue where sound was playing abnormally on PlayStation/Xbox platforms.”
Players should update, install the new client-side patch in order to see the fix implemented. As far as we’re aware, there are no player-facing changes made today. If we spot any, we’ll update the article with the info. Players who notice any other bugs that got resolved, leave a comment below and us know.
