Rematch Update 1.202.003 Applies Hotfix on January 9 Across All Platforms
The first patch of Rematch for 2026 is a small one, and it’s not for any new content, but for fixes. Developer Sloclap has revealed Rematch update 1.202.003 is live across all platforms, and this is a hotfix at fixing specific issues.
Note that this doesn’t fix all the known issues, but for now, it handles one of the most important ones that affect the game’s stability.
Rematch First Update of 2026 Released on January 9
Today’s patch handles stability issues related to GPU. Sloclap notes, “We’re pushing a hotfix in order to fix GPU crash-related issues. You’ll be able to update your game in just a few minutes.”
This is confirmed as a small update, and is more of a hotfix than anything else.
While this is an important update, it doesn’t address issues the community has raised repeatedly, and these include: fresh new content, new shop items, and more.
To be more specific, the game’s players have asked Sloclap to:
- Fix any unfair exploits
- Add actual stylish cosmetics
- Add more items in the in-game store
- Remove shoe visual effects color from being tied to a certain pair of shoes. Perhaps separate it so players can equip the shoes and VFX that they want
- Copy, paste and save custom character builds functionality
- New mods
- Improved servers and matchmaking
- Add daily, weekly challenges
- Tournaments – either official or let players host their own
- Collaborations with other football teams, products or games
When it comes to bugs, some of the issues still not fixed include:
- Dead ball glitch
- Slide tackle cancelling
- No diamonds on 50/50 balls
- No diamond prompt when players are near the ball or there are also cases that players will get a prompt, but trying to shoot or push, will result in your character doing nothing
- Head hits not registering
These are just the tip of the iceberg, of course. Hopefully, Sloclap is listening and we see some tangible updates hit the game soon. Clearly, the Season 2 update wasn’t even close to enough to satisfy the player base, and the last thing the developers want is players jumping ship to another multiplayer online game.
