The first patch of STALKER 2 for 2025 has been pushed out by GSC Game World this January 27. PC and Xbox Series X|S gamers can now download patch version 1.1.4, and this is a minor update that houses a short list of fixes, which starkly contrasts the game’s past updates that housed over a thousand fixes.
GSC Game World’s patch for today mostly consists of technical fixes, so don’t expect any gameplay improvements.
STALKER 2’s First Update for 2025 Focuses on Tech Fixes
- Fixed crashes and freeze on shaders compilation
- Fixed memory leak occurred at Rostok location
- Fixed performance degradation when shooting/aiming on saves with long playtime
- Implemented fixes, that should solve the problem causing saves to be lost on Xbox
- Fixed a random crash related to UI animations.
GSC Game World adds that the Shader Compilation fix was one of the “hardest fights” for the dev team in recent days. So there is a chance a bug or two about it might linger still.
More patches are on the way according to the studio, and once we know more about it, we’ll be sure to let our readers know.
