Tekken 8 Emergency Update 3.000.001

Following the release of Tekken 8’s Season 3 patch, unintended character behaviours were introduced, making things a wee bit unfair.

This is what’s being addressed today as Bandai Namco has issued Tekken 8 update 3.000.001, which is an emergency patch that focuses on fixing that issue.

Alongside today’s patch, Bandai Namco has also confirmed that we’ll be getting balance adjustments next month.

PLAYABLE CHARACTERS

Character Move Behavior Fixes

– We will implement fixes at an early stage for issues that were unintentionally changed in the previous update (Ver.3.00.00), items where the response has been insufficient, and bugs that are causing significant disadvantage to players.

– Looking ahead, we plan to release update data including balance adjustments—Ver.3.00.02 in mid-April and Ver.3.01 in late spring.

– We are currently reviewing priorities while considering fixes for bugs, adjustments to behaviors that lead to excessive rewards, and performance tuning centered on the Heat system. Fixes that can be addressed in the short term will be implemented sequentially, while changes with greater impact will be introduced step by step through each update after sufficient verification.

Bug Fixes

– Fixed an issue where the “Magic Mirror” setting configured prior to the update was unintentionally reset when Ver.3.00.00 was applied.
– Please note that settings that were reset when Ver.3.00.00 was applied will not be automatically restored by this update. If necessary, we kindly ask that you reconfigure them via “PLAYER CUSTOMIZE.”

Bandai Namco has also relayed info regarding upcoming updates to further balance the Heat system and make the game experience fair.

Upcoming Schedule and Actions

– Ver.3.00.02: Scheduled for mid-April
– Ver.3.01: Scheduled for late spring 2026

Further details and release timings for these updates will be made available at a later date.

Will today’s patch fix the backlash the game has received since Season 3? Probably not, but let’s hope it’s a step in the right direction.

If you know someone looking to buy Tekken 8, the base game is available on the PlayStation Store’s Spring Sale at a significantly reduced price.
