Tekken 8 New Update 2.003.002 on July 21 Fixes Character Behavior Issues
Bandai Namco has released the latest Tekken 8 update on July 21, bringing the game to version 2.003.002 on consoles. Players can expect a small list of fighter behavior changes that were unintentionally implemented with the last patch, bug fixes and more.
The developers tag this patch as v2.03.02, and this also sees Ranked Match changes and a short list of bug fixes.
When it comes to future patch balance changes, the devs shared an outline of what they have planned, and when players can expect these to be applied.

# Impact of the Update
The following changes will take effect in each mode and feature after the update:
* DOWNLOADED REPLAYS / MY REPLAY & TIPS
– Replay data created before the update will no longer be playable.
* ONLINE REPLAY
– All replay data created before the update will be deleted.
* SUPER GHOST BATTLE / GHOST MATCH / Ghost vs Ghost
– The behavior and performance adjustments applied to each character after the update will be reflected in ghost data.
– Ghost data will not be deleted.
The details of the update are as follows:
# RANKED MATCH
* Adjustment to Matching Specifications
– We have recognized that due to changes in the rank distribution over time since the start of Season 2, players in certain rank ranges are experiencing “longer-than-expected matchmaking times.”
– To alleviate this issue, we will adjust the “internal matchmaking conditions” to shorten the time it takes to expand the search range.
– We will continue to monitor the situation after this adjustment and will further tune and improve matchmaking as necessary.
# Bug Fixes
– Fixed an issue in “TEKKEN FIGHT LOUNGE” where “COMMENTS” would sometimes not display correctly when selecting “Players in the Lounge” from the “LOUNGE MENU.
# Playable Characters
* Character Move Behavior Fixes and Balance Adjustments
We have corrected unintended behavior changes introduced in the previous update (Ver.2.03.01), issues that were insufficiently addressed, and bugs that were causing significant disadvantages to players, based on the judgment that early response was necessary.
When it comes to future fughter adjustments, the developers shared the following:
Future Updates
No balance adjustments are planned for the next update (Ver.2.04) in August, as several major esports tournaments are scheduled that month.
From Ver.2.05, scheduled for release in September, the updates will primarily focus on bug fixes and similar improvements.
No word yet on when we can expect the next patch to drop. Thankfully, the developers usually announce it a day or two before it happens.
