      Indeed.

    • George

      Sexy indeed.

  • shawn

the night and day differences between ms and sony extend all the way into controllers this generation apparently with

ms telling you . if you use anything other than there stock controller your xbl acct can be cancelled/suspended *(xbl tos sec1.9) to

sony telling you hey its your money do what you want with the controller mods but stay away from the console.

    • MegaMan3k

Interesting. It looks like that clause is intended to target JTAG and possibly even auto-triggers or the sort. But certainly as written it casts an umbrella wide enough to capture SCUF or XIM or CronusMAX or anything along those lines. Heck, that clause would even imply that the use of something such as FPS Freaks is cause for account termination.

That’s an uncomfortable clause for sure.

For those curious, specific text is below :

      -

Use unauthorized software or hardware to access the Services or modify an Authorized Device in any unauthorized way (e.g., through unauthorized repairs, unauthorized upgrades, or unauthorized downloads). You agree that we have the right to send data, applications or other content to any software or hardware that you are using to access the Services for the purpose of detecting an unauthorized modification and/or disabling the modified device; or

      • oofy

        The key word is unauthorized.

    • my2cents

Shawn, not sure how much you follow gaming, but i’ve seen SCUF controllers used at every million dollar call of duty “xbox sponsored” event for the past few years, if xbox approves them for their very on million dollar event you have nothing to worry about.

New ToS for the XBone I’m sure. 360 is old news, this may be another way to steal extra money from people. Hell, it’s microsoft.

        • TI_21

Doubt this is new. They haven’t allowed unauthorized 3rd party products for the 360 as well. The companies need to pay a fee to get their products tested and authorized by MS. SCUF does this, so that ain’t a problem.

    • Mike

Hahaha so true, I remember when I was young, rumors all through school were “Dont use aftermarket controllers because they will blow up your console”. Of course we believed everything.

    • Retro

So long as the manufacture is MS authorized (and Scuf is) then it’s fine. Who wants an unauthorized product anyway.

      • shawn

ms says on twitter and through phone and chat support that scuf is NOT a authorized 3rd party supplier and its use at your own risk when it comes to the TOS

  • VisceralVenom

For the affordable low, low price of $259.99. (Tax not included)

  • Benjamin

I pity the fool who pays that much for a controller. Absolute madness!

    • Kristian Bonds-Davis

People pay that much for Bowling Gear, or Skateboard gear, or other hobbies……

      • Benjamin

That’s a ridiculous comparison. With games consoles we’ve already shelled a hell of a lot of money for the console (which comes with great controllers), the games (plus any subscriptions/DLC), and the PSN/XBL subscription.

That controller would be a third of the cost of a PS4. And for what? Some paddles on the back and a new paint job? Crazy.

        • Kristian Bonds-Davis

The Scuf was mainly created as an alternative for people who play Claw (the way you grip your controller so that the buttons on the top right are pressed using your index finger). Most people can’t do thatso this is their aalternative. Obviously this doesn’t apply to you so you shouldn’t care about who might have a use for a Scuf controller.

  • MegaMan3k

SCUF is the biggest waste of money in the world. If you want to spend that much money for a competitive advantage, buy a XIM.

    • Kristian Bonds-Davis

Scuf markets to competitive hardcore gamers who may participate in tournaments. Now who would allow that at a tournament (whereas Scuf controllers are approved by most)?

    • Samson

      Oh you were kidding. Phew

  • jameslara

    Sexy as fuck!!

But honestly, that Price tag. Are you kidding me? I can buy another PS4 for $150 more

    • oofy

      Thanks. I needed a laugh.

    • asgaro

Exactly. Since the arrival of console gaming, it all went downhill…
Most shooters on console have aim assist, while on PC there is no help.

      • MrMultiPlatform

Because clicking a mouse with built in accuracy takes skill. LOL what a fail.

  • therapiist

I went to there website and once I seen the price for the controller i close the site right away.

  • TI_21

    What’s that control disc for?!
Not sure what it would improve since the DPad is excellent as is.

  • JohnyGPTSOAD

    Its an allowed Modded controler!

  • Brandon Griffin

Always found them kind of cheap, myself

    • Mike

Better not be for almost 300 bucks!!! Thats insane! Completely UNeconomical. If thats a word.

      • Brandon Griffin

Not quality wise, but in terms of fairness while playing. Kind of a bullshit advantage.

  • gumbie7

I am seriously bummed that they don’t have the trigger stops on the Ps4 Scuf

  • Mike

HOLY FUCK! 260 BUCKS!? I bought my console for 399! Theres an idiot born every day.

  • ODST

Why would you put that on the D-pad? That’s why the Xbox 360 Dpad blew donkey balls, and the ps dpad rocked.

  • jj16802
  • Thomas Cube

If it doesn’t have 2 back paddles that I can program with the ERM and doesn’t have trigger stops, I’m not paying 200+ bucks for it.
I was eagerly awaiting this controller since the PS4 came out. Money basically not an issue.
But buying this ‘undergeared’ piece of hardware for that price seems a bit silly…

  • Swisher Sweets

I’m not into these outfits, there are so many of these mod companies out there. They charge ungodly amounts of money. With a little research and ebaying you can pretty much mod your own controller for far less then what these places charge to get a “modded controller.” I made my own for the ps3 with bullet buttons and a chip, and colored buttons for far less then a majority of these places will charge you for one.

  • jimmy

People who complain just cant afford it. However completely pointless to use with ps4. Cod and bf4 have terrible frame rate issues. They are un playable

  • jimmy

Lol look all the poor people

  • Insanwolf7

How do you know its going to cost $260?
