The Last of Us – Digital Edition and Season Pass Detailed, More Multiplayer Info in the Coming Days

Naughty Dog’s PlayStation 3-exclusive The Last of Us is currently up for pre-order on the PlayStation Store as a digital download edition of the game.

That means you’ll get to play The Last of Us at 12 midnight on the morning of June 14.

Developers Naughty Dog have also announced that the game will be receiving three expansion packs throughout its life time, which can all be secured right away by purchasing the Season Pass. It, too, is available on the PlayStation Store for $19.99 USD and will also be available at your local GameStop retailer when you pick up the game. That’s a 30% savings over purchasing each DLC separately.

Season pass holders will also get access to these day-1 bonuses:

  • Increased Crafting Speed
  • Increased Healing Speed
  • 9mm Reload Speed Upgrade
  • Rifle Clip Capacity Upgrade
  • Grounded – exclusive 90min “Making of The Last of Us” documentary

As for the DLC, Naughty Dog has announced that they will, for the first time, be offering single player DLC with The Last of Us. The other two will be made up of additional multiplayer content.

Speaking of multiplayer, the studio also wrote in their update, “you’ll be hearing about our multiplayer over the next couple of days.” Definitely stay tuned to MP1st. We’ll have all the details!
