Announced last month as a PS3 exclusive, today Namco Bandai revealed more details as to what’s packaged in the game along with a brand-new teaser trailer.

According to the press release, Infinity is set to release later this year on PSN as an exclusive F2P PS3 download. The game will feature both a single and multiplayer mode, and while the exact setting of the title is still unknown, fans of the series will be happy to know that judging from the recent teaser trailer, the game will not be set in the same universe as Horizontal Assault. A game that received poor fan reaction due to it being set in modern-day history.

“Set in a precise near future world and including beloved elements like super weapons and hyper-real visuals, the game will offer a brand new story campaign,”

Ace Combat Infinity is set to launch later this year, exclusively on the PlayStation 3.
