Infinity Ward Introduces Call of Duty Warzone Cheaters Lobbies, Additional Anti-Cheat Measures

warzone cheaters

Enjoying Call of Duty: Warzone? Annoyed at how many cheaters there are — at least on the PC version? With the free-to-play (F2P) battle royale game enabling crossplay (and recommending it, even), some might have come across Warzone cheaters in their quest to become the top team (or player) in a Warzone match.

While Infinity Ward has already banned a ton of players due to cheating, the studio has revealed a few more Call of Duty Warzone anti-cheat steps to help players feel at ease, and to ensure cheaters get banned. According to the studio, players who are suspected of cheating will be matched with other cheaters too! Not only that, but other anti-cheat measures are being implemented as well.

Starting This Week:

Players in Warzone and Modern Warfare who report suspected cheaters will receive confirmation in-game when a player is banned.

Additional Measures:

  • Deployed additional dedicated security updates
  • Updated matchmaking to match suspected cheaters together
  • Increased resources across backend tech, studio, and enforcement teams

Coming Soon:

  • Report-a-player functionality to killcam and spectate modes

Given how many players login to Call of Duty:Warzone everyday, it’s nice to see Infinity Ward tackle this with fervor. While there will always be cheaters in online games, studios can adapt and ban these people to make the experience better for everyone.
