Insmoniac Games has released the Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered update 1.005 this August 21, and this seems to be only for the PS5 version of the game (PS4 is is still at 1.19). Given this is an unannounced update, don’t expect anything major from this patch.
Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered Update 1.005 Patch Notes:
While Insomniac Games has not released any official patch notes just yet, we reached out to the studio, and a rep told us that the patch is for:
Adds some stability and ray tracing improvements.
That’s about it for this patch. If things change or more stuff about it surfaces, we’ll update the post.
If you haven’t booted the game in a while, update 1.004 was released in February this year, and here are the changes in that patch:
Fixes & Updates
- Addressed an issue where Spider-Man’s directional throw would not respect player input
- Improved stability
For those who haven’t played the spin-off Miles Morales, you’re missing out! Check out our review here where we state, “Peter Park may be the original Spider-Man, someone that many will always think of when they hear the webslinger’s name. And while Peter strives to protect all of New York, he doesn’t truly represent everyone. He isn’t someone we can truly look up to and envision us behind the mask. Miles Morales is different. Miles is a Spider-Man who represents countless individuals who feel overlooked, unheard, and disrespected. A Spider-Man that understands the struggles that others might not.”
This was the dumbest article I’ve read today, Peter Parker Absolutely represents EVERYONE, just because he’s not black you’re going to say he doesn’t represent others? My god I’m so sick and tired of someone having to be black to be considered a representation of being HUMAN. FUCK OFF with your racism

nice catch, i’m so tired of this planet and the shit subtle things people throw in game reviews.
While I enjoyed MM I could not agree with you more. It’s fucked up this was dropped into a update article.
Reverse racism in full effect.
He really doesn’t. And let’s be honest… many of you still get offended when you see anything other than a white boy protagonist.

Besides, the writer could have been implying people from his community (Harlem) as opposed to race. If anything, y’all are the ones who made it about race.@
He really does though, the fact of the mattern is that I’m not white, I’m Latino, born and bred. So your argument about people getting offended over someone other than white being the hero falters pretty quickly. I enjoy ANYONE being the hero regardless of gender, race or sexuality. The part i had a problem with is the fact that this review is making it out to be that just because someone is white, they don’t automatically know what struggle is, they aren’t a representation of anything or anyone. When I’m trying to tell people like you that they are. It shouldn’t matter if a person is black or white, gay or straight. We are all human beings with different struggles and flaws that make us uniqu. Don’t down play any one races value and set yourself above everyone else just because you happen to be black. We all have value. That’s my point sir.
Word!
Not at all enjoyed MM, Wonder Woman 1st movie not 1984 (that sucked), Loved TLOU2, Horizon Zero and dug all the characters. Voted twice for Obama last amazing USA president. So no I don’t get offended, but nice try. And on top of that you wrote back Manny Rodriguez…chances are he’s not white. So I find your comment comically hilarious toward Mr Rodriguez
Ah yes, a lesson in racism from “Pig skins have no lips”. Your opinion clearly matters. /s
As a Puerto Rican nacido en la isla del encanto… that’s a bs take. Miles and Peter both represent a wide variety of people and putting down the character of Peter Parker solely because of his skin gee I wonder what that makes you. It was unnecessary and out of place. Being impartial and equal to everyone signifies Black, Latino, Asian, Indian. and White as well.
Let me guess. Only black people ever played San Andreas? Only Asian people played Ghost of Tsushima?
We get it white people bad every other race automatically better. Blah blah blah
I’m not represented by Peter Parker or Miles Morales, because I’m a real life human being and they’re fictional comicbook characters. That said, I do enjoy both characters, love both of their games equally, and thanks for the patch notes.
That’s a great way to think of this. Well said man.
Awesome. Hard to believe that 6 months after the 1 year anniversary of this remaster’s release, there still won’t be an Xbox series s/x first party game with at least THIS level of ray tracing options.
I’m Asian and Miles is someone whose people have been beating up my people for being Asian, how does he represent me?
Shove that SJW bullshit up your ass dipshit gutter tier writer.
Digital Foundry just got a chubby.
CJ and the Grove street boys would kick Miles’ ass any day.
LOL you SJW nerds
Peter Parker is Spider-man, the most popular superhero in Marvel Comics and the most
commercially successful superhero in the World. Miles Morales is a nobody.
Well, ummm… thanks for the social commentary attached to the patch notes?
