Fortnite Update 4.88 Delivers v37.51
Epic Games has released v37.51 for Fortnite today, and this houses data for a new event! Console gamers will see today’s download as Fortnite update 4.88, and while this isn’t as big as previous patches, there is still a slew of new stuff to chew through.
Chief among the new stuff ushered in is data for a new event that was uncovered via datamining!
There are also a slew of fixes and known issues, which we’ve included below.
Fortnite’s October 22 Update Brings Patch 4.88
Oddly enough, Epic Games has not said anything about today’s update save for new items entering the shop. We’ve included the known issues the dev team is looking into via the official Fortnite Trello board.
GENERAL TOP ISSUES
Fixed in Future Game Update
- Locker Search bar deselects after typing.
- War Wolf Dire may display texture gaps when using certain Emotes or Pickaxes.
- Green Ghost Glider may not display as intended during gameplay.
- Mr. Dappermint is missing his bow tie.

- Sizzle Sgt. may not be present at the Dispatch Center.
- ‘F’ key conflict: unable to interact with objects.
- A prompt to flip a vehicle no longer appears when a vehicle is flipped.
FORTNITE MOBILE TOP ISSUES

- Controller bindings cannot be customized on Mobile.
- Unable to send Game Channel messages in Battle Royale Solos.
ROCKET RACING TOP ISSUES

- The Weekly Quest progress tracker may not update after progress is made.
- Cannot Rocket Drift with default keybind on PC (Creative).

Some Wheels may incorrectly appear with darker Default Styles or incomplete visual elements.
SAVE THE WORLD TOP ISSUES

- The progress circle animation does not appear around the “Vote” button when using a controller.
- Plasma Pulse may not behave as intended after firing a Bow.

- Unable to change the ‘Jump’ keybind on PC.

Fortnite Upcoming Event Datamined in v37.51
Dataminer Loolo spotted a few key things that should be coming to the game soon and details on the upcoming event.
