The Blood of Dawnwalker was first announced in early 2025 as an action role-playing game developed by Rebel Wolves and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment.

Over the years, the title has generated much anticipation, with many comparing it to The Witcher 3. The developers have also seemed confident about the release, claiming that The Blood of Dawnwalker will set a new standard in the RPG genre.

Recently, it was also confirmed that the title is already fully playable on PS5 and won’t use AI in the final release.

Dev Confirms PS5 Version Fully Playable

During a recent interview with the Game Business, Rebel Wolves’ CEO and creative lead, Konrad Tomaszkiewicz, said the game will not include AI (Artifical Intelligence), which is a bit of a hot topic today when it comes to game development.

He stated that, though they used gen-AI for the initial development, the final version of the game will be released without any of it, as the team plans to remove all AI placeholders used during development to ensure it releases with zero AI content.

Konard further confirms that The Blood of Dawnwalker is already fully playable on PS5, as he has finished the game on the platform. “We know how the game works and I already finished the game on the PS5 and it’s great,” the dev states.

This surely confirms that the game is already in a great stage, and we won’t see any delays in its release. The title has already seen significant anticipation and is likely going to be one of the biggest releases of the year

The game’s release date has yet to be announced, but the title is confirmed for 2026 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. If you’re curious how combat plays, read our first info about it.
