Where Winds Meet “Imperial Palace” Expansion Gets Release Date and First Details
The “Imperial Palace” expansion for Where Winds Meet now has an official release date, and it is coming very soon.
Developer Everstone Studio and publisher NetEase Games confirmed that the major update will launch on May 28, alongside a new official trailer.
The expansion will release for PlayStation 5, PC through Steam and Epic Games Store, iOS, and Android.

This update will introduce a massive new map set inside Kaifeng’s palace complex, covering more than one million square meters with highly detailed areas to explore.
The story will also move away from the Hexi region and head directly into the political center of the empire, where players will uncover conspiracies involving the royal family and secrets that could threaten the Jianghu itself.
The expansion will also feature more than 3,000 unique NPCs, along with different court factions connected through complex relationships and conflicts. In addition, players will be able to take part in traditional activities like cricket fighting and ice frolicking.
The palace itself will be divided into three major areas: the Front Court, Inner Quarters, and Central Bureaus. Players will also enter the palace while pretending to investigate events, eventually joining the “Office of Martial and Virtue,” the court’s elite intelligence agency, where they will work as undercover agents and complete daily assignments.
The update will also introduce new campaigns, world bosses, and multiplayer challenges. These include the “Sealed Treasury” campaign, the “Confinement Tower” campaign, and new bosses such as Gilded Lament and the Cat Emperor. Players will also face multiplayer battles against Everdeer and Moongazing.
In June, the game will additionally receive a Dragon Boat Festival event, where players can craft gifts for Jianghu companions and take part in traditional Five Elements exercises to earn rewards.
