It’s not just Diablo 4 that’s a Blizzard-developed title that got updated today, as the studio also pushed out a hefty Overwatch 2 update that houses bug fixes and even a new mode with the help of content creators.

Console gamers will see this as Overwatch 2 update 4.31/1.000.095, and this will let players experience a different kind of Overwatch.

Overwatch 2’s Community Crafted Update Brings a New Kind of Hero Shooter

Game Client Update

This is a game client patch introducing the new Community Crafted game mode, alongside several bug fixes. Replay codes have been wiped.

Community Crafted

Experience a whole new version of Overwatch created with the help of four of your favorite creators: Guxue, Apply, Ocie, and mL7support. Every hero (except Shion) has changes for you to try out based on what our creators wanted to see these heroes play like, so jump into the Arcade to try out this new game mode from June 30 until July 13!

Zhuque Fans Fire rate increased by 50%. Projectile speed increased 90 → 150 m/s.
Inferno Rush Can now dash backward by holding backward. Initial launch speed increased by 27%.
Ashe Dynamite Now sticks to surfaces. Fuse timer increased 5s → 20s.
B.O.B. If destroyed before timing out, B.O.B. explodes after a short delay.
Bastion Tuned Treads (Major Perk) Replaces Lindholm Explosives. Move 35% faster in Configuration: Assault or Tank.
Configuration: Tank Replaces Configuration: Artillery. Fires fast-moving shells dealing 205 explosive damage.

Emre Optimized Targeting (Major Perk) Scoped bursts landing all 3 shots increase next unscoped burst damage by 35%.
Cyber Frag Final blows refund 1 charge.
Override Protocol Now grants 30% lifesteal.
Freja Take Aim Explosion damage reduced 80 → 40. Stuck targets bleed for 40 damage over 2s.
Bola Shot Area slow increased 45% → 75%.
Bounty Hunting Random enemy becomes a bounty. Eliminating them grants 15% ultimate charge. 6s cooldown between bounties.
Genji Dragon’s Thirst Moved from Minor Perk to base kit.
Swift Backcap (Minor Perk) New: Genji captures objectives faster.
Deflect Damage increases with distance. Final blows grant 15% damage boost for 5s.
Dragonblade Can be cancelled. Cancelling fires a large energy projectile and refunds cooldowns.
Hanzo Storm Bow Damage reduced 125 → 85. Recovery reduced 0.5s → 0.25s.
Storm Arrows Can now bounce twice.
Lunge Holding Jump launches Hanzo upward.
Dragonstrike Ultimate cost reduced 12%. Dragon speed increased 20%.
Junkrat Base Health reduced 250 → 200.
Frag Launcher Projectile speed 30 → 112.5 m/s. Impact damage 45 → 30. Explosion damage 80 → 50. Detonates on impact.
Steel Trap Now has 2 charges. Cooldown 10s → 13s. Longer throw range. Arms in 1s and lasts 6s. Bleeds and reveals enemies within 6m. Health 100 → 120.
Concussion Mine No longer throws a projectile. Explodes beneath Junkrat. Damage 120 → 90.
Mei Ice Spikes (Major Perk) Replaces Deep Freeze. Enemies near Ice Wall are damaged and slowed.
Endothermic Blaster Slow removed. Range increased 12 → 14m.
Icicle Now slows enemies. Can be charged. Damage scales 15–95. Slow scales 5–30%.
Pharah Concussive Blast Pulls enemies inward after a delay instead of pushing. Slows non-Tank enemies.
Reaper Soul Reaving (Minor Perk) Soul Orbs extend Wraith Form by 1s.
Wraith Form Deals 40 DPS to nearby enemies.
Death Blossom Can be cancelled. Each elimination extends duration by 1s.
Sierra Full Flight Moved to base kit.

Viral Replication (Major Perk) Final blows reduce Virus cooldown by 4s.

Stealth Now Ability 1. Duration 5s → 8s. Speed bonus 60% → 75%.
Translocator Travels in an arc. No flight timeout. Persists indefinitely after landing. Has 5 HP.
Virus Applies Hacked effect. Hacks nearby health packs on terrain impact. Cooldown 6s → 8s.
Symmetra Shield Battery Moved to base kit. Now affects nearby allies and all health types.
Acceleporter (Major Perk) New: Allies gain 30% movement speed for 2s after using Teleporter.
Sentry Turrets Can target enemies while flying before deployment.
Torbjörn Deploy Turret Now fires rockets instead of bullets.

Pulse Bomb Can be shot off after 150 damage. Explosion delay 1s → 3s. Radius 4m → 7m. Stuck target damage 350 → 9999, ignores damage reduction.
Vendetta Palatine Fang Swing damage 45 → 30. Overhead damage 120 → 90.
Soaring Slice Overhead damage remains 120.
Warding Stance Now drains energy over time. Can reflect projectiles.
Whirlwind Dash Pulls enemies instead of pushing them away.
Sundering Blade Target indicator visible to enemies. Now also hits behind Vendetta.
Venture Base Health reduced to 225. Final blows restore 1 Drill Dash charge.
Daylight Dash (Minor Perk) Replaces Excavation Exhilaration. Above-ground Drill Dash distance increased 30%.
SMART Excavator Damage increased 75 → 85.
Drill Dash Charges 1 → 2. Cooldown 8s → 6s. Horizontal range reduced 50%. Damage 90 → 35.
Burrow Knockback increased 20%.
Explorer’s Resolve Bonus shields reduced 25 → 15.
Widowmaker Vengeful Web (Major Perk) Replaces Seeker Mine. Drops mini Venom Mine web upon death.
Widow’s Kiss Scoped charge rate reduced 70%. Primary spread reduced 40%. Max spread shots 11 → 18.
Grappling Hook Stores 2 charges. Final blows grant 1 charge.
Venom Mine Stores 2 charges. Up to 2 mines can be placed. One mine deals 75 damage and knocks back enemies. Two linked mines create a tripwire dealing 180 damage.

Exo Springs – Common General Survival Item

  • Damage Reduction reduced to 10% (Down from 25%).

Jet Skates – Epic Gadget

  • Cost increased to 10000 (Up from 9500).
  • Cooldown increased to 10s (Up from 8s).

Kitsune Charm – Epic Gadget

  • Cost increased to 11000 (Up from 10000).
  • Cooldown increased to 25s (Up from 20s).

Vortex Vial – Epic Gadget

  • New
  • 50 Health
  • 10% Move Speed
  • “On Use: Place a slowing Vortex that pulls enemies downward at your location for 2.5s. (25s Cooldown).”

These changes are intended to improve the counter options in the General Items, particularly against tanky / sustain heavy compositions. We’ve also added a gadget geared towards dealing with Fliers for heroes who don’t have many tools in their base kit to do so. We’re also tuning back some of the Gadgets that have become much more prevalent recently so they are more situational.

General
  • Fixed an issue where the Sierra World Cup skin would not appear correctly.
  • Fixed an issue causing Ashe to receive more damage than intended when hit by her own Dynamite.
  • Fixed an issue causing the UI indicator for Brigitte’s Inspire to not account for the Morale Boost perk.
  • Fixed an issue where the audio cues from Lucio’s perks would unintentionally give his location away.
  • Fixed an issue where Orisa would still be pinned even if Fortify was activated at the exact same time she was hit by Reinhardt’s Charge.
  • Fixed an issue where the Survivor sub‑role’s passive healing would incorrectly trigger if a movement ability was used before taking damage.
  • Fixed an issue where the extra fuel from Pharah’s Fuel Store perk would not activate if her fuel was decaying prior to using Jet Dash.
  • Fixed an issue where Sierra could unintentionally grapple to her drone when it went out of sight.
  • Fixed an issue where Sierra could not destroy her drone while dead.
  • Fixed an issue where Sierra’s Tremor Charges were not amplified by Amplification Matrix.
  • Fixed an issue where Mercy’s Guardian Angel UI button would appear to activate without a valid target.
  • Fixed an issue where the Toggle Beam Setting for Mercy could cause inconsistent behavior when switching between beam types.
  • Fixed an issue where Sierra’s Anchor Drone would block certain abilities like Reinhardt Charge.
  • Fixed an issue where Cassidy’s Deadeye UI would not update correctly against Vendetta when she used her Warding Stance.
  • Fixed an issue where some Knockdown abilities did not affect d.va’s mech during Self-Destruct.
  • Fixed an issue where heroes with the Recon subrole passive could sometimes ping Sombra while she was invisible.
  • Fixed an issue where Athena’s VO would incorrectly say that the lead had been lost in Push when teams were tied for total distance.
  • Fixed several text bugs in Post Match Accolades with card text (Hyper Rings, Power Slides, etc…).
  • Fixed several text bugs in the Advanced Info Panel.
  • In a previous update, fixed a bug where Ramattra could bypass Void Barrier’s cooldown.
Stadium
  • Fixed an issue where Lifesteal was incorrectly granting currency despite being Restore and not Healing.
  • Fixed an issue where Juno’s Fission Chamber did not scale properly with Attack Speed.
  • Fixed an issue where Juno’s Blink Boosts allowed her to use Glide Boost while crowd controlled.
  • Fixed an issue where Juno’s Blink Boosts prevented Glide Boost from scaling properly with Cooldown Reduction.
  • Fixed an issue where Juno’s Boosted Rockets granted more Glide Boost duration than intended when combined with Blink Boosts.
  • Fixed an issue where Ana’s IV Drip didn’t have reduced overhealth when combined with Fountain of Soothe.
  • Fixed an issue where Brigitte’s Optimizer was granting more self healing than expected.
  • Fixed an issue where Zenyatta’s Enlightenment was incorrectly healing over 1 and not granting ultimate charge or currency
  • Fixed an issue where Ana’s Venomous was not dealing reduced damage when spawned with Fountain of Soothe.
  • Fixed an issue where Martian Mender was healing less than intended on DVa.
  • Fixed an issue where Doomfist’s Aftershock power would always hit targets hit the first time
  • Fixed an issue where Liquid Nitrogen was overwriting slows instead of adding to them.
  • Fixed an issue where Vendetta’s Cataclisma Power would not trigger if the initial hit kills the enemy.
