Subnautica 2 Hotfix on July 14

Unknown Worlds has released a hotfix for Subnautica 2 on PC and Xbox today, July 14, and this addresses issues that surfaced (heh) from the Adaptive Measures update last week.

The major fix applied for today is that the issue with Angel Combs not opening, thus blocking progression, has been fixed.

For the rest of the changes made, read on.

Subnautica 2 Hotfix 4 Released on July 14

The fixes applied today via the hotfix includes:

  • Fixed Angel Combs not opening for some players, blocking progression
  • Fixed water currents appearing in player bases, affecting movement, getting stuck, or being unable to build or expand bases
  • Fixed FOV slider not showing on Xbox
  • Fixed two low-volume crashes
    • Crash on Xbox when trying to join a session invite
    • Crash related to creature spawn

A reminder: If you play Subnautica 2 with mods, please temporarily disable, remove, or uninstall them before launching the game following the hotfix. Community mods will not be updated for compatibility with the latest hotfix, and may cause crashes or other unexpected behavior on launch. Once the mod creators have updated their content, you can re-enable and reinstall your mods.

Don’t forget, the Adaptive Measures patch didn’t just slot in fixes, but quality-of-life changes too.
